| If anyone has any questions or comments please feel free to ask, I'm definatly interested in what you guys think. I wanna know what else is goin on all around China, that just gives Gift skateboards, Cart wheels and all skaters around China an idea of whats out there... We are a Culture not a fashion, skateboarding will be around forever..

Well when you get sponsored its usually by something local, very few people can make it big right away... Almost everyone starts out with a shop sponsor or flow from some company. Wade Desarmo, Mark Appleyard all started with a flow deal or local brand before they made it to the big times, haha just worry about skating and not getting sposored, AND LEARN CHINESE WHILE YOUR YOUNG!!! don't waste a good opportunity, Learn it while you can, trust me on this.

Its a long story but I'll make it as imaginable as possible.... when i was 16, one of my friends got sponsored and he said we all could get on this skate shop sponsor,so we all gave him a video and the guy n the shop said i has stick style... like really hard style.. so after that i didn't even care about sponsored, all i wanted to do was just skate... then there was a local contest that i entered, i got 3rd place that year, and the year after i got 1st... the guys who held the contest were impressed i guess.
One day i was just walking around downtown and bumped into those guys and they asked if i wanted to ride for em... and they've help me where I am now.. i owe those people everything i have... and kind of the same story when i came to china... just skate, have fun and be humble. things will happen on their own. Hope everyone can read that... sorry everyone, i am dumb and can't write chinese. |

Hey daozu,
Thanks for your message, 1st off let me just say your English is fine!
About my hats... I have had many hats over the years and I don't throw them away cause each of my hats has a little history behind it I guess, you know i have never been out of my house without a hat for maybe 8 yrs?!? yea sounds weird, but that's just how it is i guess.
And skating by yourself is good and bad, good cause you can focus more on the trick your learning i guess, bad cause its never fun skating alone, try and find a few friends even if they don't skate and just hang out and try new tricks, better than being alone right?
As for skate shoes, I like simple and clean shoes, lately i have been skating in alot of dunk low's and dunk high's, thin bottoms so you can feel your board too.
And last but not least... my dog's name is Hippo, He ma in Chinese pin yin |

Hey JL, glad you enjoyed the lil demo we had haha... We actually don't go out to SMP much cause its so far and now you gotta pay 60 bucks to get in... skaters can't afford to go there anymore... haha I'd rather spend it on food or skate stuff you know?!... But we're usually down by the Shanghai Music theatre (L.P.).
And thanks man, I just think that China has so much potential... skateboarding is still so fresh here and I wanna be apart of now and the future. May sound lame to some people but I love to learn and teach. |

| Everything has its good and bad things, being sponsored is good, traveling is good, being out on the road for weeks sucks! not able to get a girl friend cause your always out bad... i dunno hahaha but doing what you love to do is always a good thing. EVERYONE just keep skating and have fun doing what you do... Don't skate to get sponsored, one day when the time is right a sponsor will come along and you'll get hooked up, word of mouth and be talkative... people will start noticing. |

| You know what... we're pretty open minded. Obviously we look at all sorts of things, skating good isn't the only thing... style and personality is an important thing. Its pretty much a team decision, but if you have any kind of footy you'd like to show us send it out to the FLY shop in Shanghai and we'll see from there. Doesn't hurt to try. haha skatng sucks after you get sponsored but it helps soo much to get free shit. |

Yea sorry everyone for takin so long with footage of the GIFT team, we are a small skater owned comapny and we are still growing... But whenever we get a chance to tour, we defiantly go. Just need to know where to go, you know? Cause so many cities in China. I have been filming the guys alot and they're parts should be pretty good... but i'm trying to let you guys know whats up with the team right now with my blog.
